About The Workshop

This workshop will present the subtle use of the tongue when playing the recorder to achieve expressive and nuanced playing.  Looking at historical sources as well as practical exercises, participants will explore the relationship between language and articulation in the context of real baroque repertoire for the recorder.  No prior knowledge as the workshop will present strategies for self-development.

All course material will be provided a few days before the online workshop.

Prerequisites

Please have a descant, treble or tenor recorder to hand for trying the exercises.
