Deep-Dive Online Recorder Workshop Series: Interpretation for Beginners Part 2

Following on from the first workshop in which some basic principles of interpretation were presented, this workshop will reinforce those principles and move deeper into recorder repertoire that has a basso continuo line.  Two movements of a Handel sonata will be examined looking at the relationship between the recorder and bass lines and the clues this gives to forming your own interpretation.

All workshop materials will be made available a few days before the event.

Prerequisites

No prior knowledge of musical analysis is required although a basic knowledge of key and cadences would be advantageous. The music will be provided for both F and C instruments. Please have a recorder at hand to try the exercises.
