About The Workshop

This workshop is for players of all abilities and will cover the following topics:

  • Hand Position
  • Finger Movement including thumb technique
  • Breathing

The aim of the workshop is to give participants the ability to correct faults in their technique to facilitate improvement in their playing and sound production.

If you suffer from a "noisy" sound (extraneous noises), strain in your fingers and hands, or a "lumpy" air-flow, this workshop will look at ways to mitigate these issues.

This workshop is also suitable for those who teach recorder and are looking for ideas on teaching strategies.

For those who would find the workshop of use but are unable to attend, the workshop will be recorded and a link sent to registered participants to access the video for future reference.

Prerequisites

Have a descant, treble or tenor recorder to hand.
